Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 15, 2026
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the research support services (the "Service") provided by @Research (the "Company"). The Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users, as well as other necessary matters.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means all services related to paper search, viewing, AI-based responses, and research support provided by the Company.
- "User" means any person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- "Content" means all materials uploaded, posted, transmitted, or made public through the Service by users.
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Modification of Terms)
- These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or notified to users by other means.
- The Company may modify these Terms to the extent not in violation of applicable laws, and the modified Terms become effective when notified in the manner described in the preceding paragraph.
- If a user does not agree to the modified Terms, the user may discontinue use of the Service and terminate the service agreement.
Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Service)
- The Company provides the following services:
- Paper and academic material search services
- Paper viewing and management services
- AI-based response and analysis services
- Other research support related services
- The Company may modify the content and method of providing the Service, and will notify users in advance of such modifications.
Article 5 (Suspension of Service)
- The Company may temporarily suspend the provision of the Service in cases of maintenance, replacement, or failure of information and communication equipment, interruption of communication, or other similar reasons.
- The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users or third parties due to the temporary suspension of the Service for the reasons set forth in paragraph 1.
Article 6 (User Obligations)
- Users shall not engage in the following acts:
- Registering false information when applying or modifying
- Using another person's information
- Modifying information posted by the Company
- Sending or posting information (including computer programs) other than information designated by the Company
- Infringing on intellectual property rights such as copyrights of the Company and other third parties
- Damaging the reputation of the Company and other third parties or interfering with their business
- Posting or disclosing obscene or violent messages, images, sounds, or other information contrary to public order and morals on the Service
Article 7 (Provision of Information and Advertisement)
In operating the Service, the Company may post various information on the Service screen or provide it to users by email, mail, or other means.
Article 8 (Ownership of Copyright and Restrictions on Use)
- Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in works created by the Company belong to the Company.
- Users shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use for profit, or allow third parties to use, information obtained through the use of the Service without the prior consent of the Company.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
- The Company shall be exempt from liability for the provision of the Service if it is unable to provide the Service due to natural disasters or other force majeure events.
- The Company shall not be liable for any obstacles to the use of the Service due to the user's fault.
- The Company shall not be liable for any loss of profits expected by users from the use of the Service, or for any damages resulting from materials obtained through the Service.
- The Company shall not be liable for the reliability, accuracy, etc. of information, data, or facts posted by users.
- The Company makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of papers, materials, or AI-based responses searched or viewed by users through the Service, and shall not be liable for any damages resulting therefrom.
- The Company shall not be liable for data loss, deletion, errors, etc. that occur during the use of the Service. Users must perform separate backups of important data.
- The Company shall not be liable for errors, inaccuracies, or incompleteness of AI-based responses, and users shall use AI responses only as references and make final judgments at their own responsibility.
Article 10 (Dispute Resolution)
- The Company and users shall make all necessary efforts to amicably resolve any disputes arising in connection with the Service.
- Notwithstanding paragraph 1, if a lawsuit is filed due to a dispute, the lawsuit shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's headquarters.
Addendum
These Terms shall take effect from January 15, 2026.
